  • Folding Rifles

In the last few months I have seen a couple different versions of the .22 rifle that are designed to either fold or break down to fit in a pack. I think the idea is great for survival and bug out bag purposes, but question the quality or reliability of the rifle. I would hate to buy a brand new gun only to find out that it is a piece of junk. One was the Henry Survival Rifle, and the other I saw was the Chiappa Little Badger. Does anybody have any experience with these types of guns?

The henry survival rifle is damn near bear proof (sorry, I have to use Alaska standards). Its a simple design, and well made. The henry absorbs abuse and its price point cannot be beat. Another rifle to consider for a bit more money is the Ruger Takedown.

I used to have a Tristar folding shotgun, it was pretty amazing
